Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, the OCC Board of Directors and Staff organize various fundraising events.  The majority of our fundraising events act as wonderful and exciting community building events as well! Proceeds of these events go to both the general sustainability of OCC and the OCC Scholarship Fund.  We ask that all families participate at some level in at least one fundraising event per year.

All fundraising efforts require volunteers!  If you are interested in assisting with the planning or execution of any of our events or fundraisers, please contact our Board of Directors at

Save the Date:  Bike Rodeo 2016, September 24, 2016!

Flower Power Bulb Sales (August 1 – October 15, 2016)

Once again, the OCC community can order flower bulbs and support our school at the same time! Click here to visit the Flower Power website.  Please forward this link to family and friends.  When the flowers bloom in spring they will enjoy their beauty while also knowing they are supporting our school.
The bulbs will be delivered to your door in time for fall planting.  The website will be accepting orders through October 15th but I would encourage you to order early.  The earlier you order the quicker they will come!

Montessori Makers Night @ The Makery (Friday, May 13, 2016)

This OCC Board of Director’s event was both a fundraising and community building event filled with fun, friendships, and fabulous art!  Located at The Makery, in downtown State College, this event was open to the public and featured art activities, displays of OCC artwork, a silent auction, and light refreshments.

OCC Bike Rodeo (Sunday, October 18, 2015)

Well… there were snowflakes falling, but the children and families of OCC warmed up with a great family- centered, community building & fundraising event – THE BIKE RODEO!  Riders (young & old), on two, three, and multi-wheeled riding apparatuses enjoyed riding over a Kiddie Loop, 1-Mile, 2-Mile, or 4-Mile trail at Spring Creek Park.  Special thanks to the Police Officer for offering our riders advice about bicycle safety.  The raffle was great fun!  Ms. Kassie’s creations were a much sought after treat!!!
