Curbside drop-off ends at 9:05 a.m. A staff member will be at the alley door to escort your child into the building. New children should be brought by a parent into the building.
COURTYARD ENTRANCE - The double doors at the end of the courtyard should be used between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. This is our main entrance and is where the parent mailboxes, bulletin boards, and message logbook are located.
PARKING - Please read all parking signs carefully. Please do not park in a no-parking zone and/or within 20 feet of an intersection, stop sign, or alleyway. South Burrowes has free two-hour parking, and West Nittany across from the school can be used for 5 minute parking, with use of your emergency flashers. You may also park in the alley behind the church building if you will only be 5 min. and use your emergency flashers.

NAPPING -If your child will be napping or resting, please provide a blanket, sheet, and pillow. These items should be labeled and put in a cloth bag or pillow case. Your child may bring a special stuffed toy or blanket from home to cuddle during nap time. All nap items go home on Fridays for laundering.
OCC VOLUNTEERS - An important aspect of Our Children’s Center is the feeling of community shared by staff members and families. This sense of community is comes from adults working together towards a higher purpose—that of preparing young children to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society. Few tasks equal this one in importance! Please share your time and skills with our children and all will benefit.
TUITION AND FEE REMINDER - Your first tuition installment was due August 1 with a grace period until August 29. Please include your yearly $75 activity with your August payment. Please remember that your prompt and reliable payment of tuition ensures the School’s financial stability and supports our ability to plan a curriculum of the highest caliber while meeting our contractual obligations. Tuition is due on the first of the month. A 3% late fee will be added to tuition unpaid by the tenth day of the month beginning in October. Please contact us immediately if you are experiencing financial problems which would necessitate a late payment.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION -We must have updated emergency contact information and emergency care permission/release form on file. We must be able to reach you or someone who can take responsibility for your child in case of illness or emergency, at all times when your child is in our care. We ask for your cooperation in completing and returning all forms by the first week of school.
LABELED EXTRA CLOTHING - Each child is required to have a clearly labeled, seasonally appropriate change of clothing, including extra undergarments and socks brought in on the first day of school. It will be kept in a labeled bin for use as needed.
CALLING THE SCHOOL OFFICE - Please do not hesitate to call the office at 237-1585 with any questions you may have. Since office staff work with the children we may not always be available to answer your call. Be confident in the knowledge that messages are checked regularly and your call will be returned. Eagerly anticipating the upcoming year!
Warmly,
OCC Staff
