OCC Winter Cultural Sweets and Savories Celebration

• On Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. we will gather for our special Winter Cultural Celebration.

• This special time allows families to share a traditional sweet or savory finger food with other families. Please include your name as well as the name of the food you brought to share. People enjoy knowing who made the delicious foods. December is time to celebrate in many cultures so bring a little taste of your home to OCC on this night.

• We’d like to make an OCC family display of pictures, objects, artifacts, or decorative items that are special to your family during the December holidays. Peace and light are the focus for our celebration, so bring a little bit of home to display here at school. REMEMBER: Each Family may bring one picture, or one object to place on the Peace and Light table.

• In addition to sampling tasty treats there will be special family-friend activities for folks to try.

• Please remember we love to have parents and/or grandparents come in to share family traditions in your child’s classroom. Please contact your child’s teacher if you’d like to share something in the classroom.
