Bring-a-Parent Night - Tuesday, Feb. 2

Parents join your child and the classroom teachers for a look at the activities and works your child enjoys here at school. Children are proud of the work they do and they love to share it with family members. Your child will have lots of works to show you. Grandparents are welcome, too.

• Do you wonder what makes an activity a “Montessori work?”
• How do we actually “follow the child” in a prepared environment?
• We invite the children to bring a parent to school so they can show their skills and “give lessons.”
• Montessori educational theory is based on “Sensitive periods” in the child’s development.
• There are optimum times for certain kinds of activities, which appeal to those sensitivities.
• Children have an unlimited capacity for learning, determined by the environment and the learning opportunities made available to them.
• This is an open house format. Come and go as needed
