Our Children Cook: Send us your recipes!

We all know that Our Children’s Center is focused on creating a community of learning. And this community is what makes us great! In this spirit, can we ask for your help on a great project that will benefit the school and improve our community -- and possibly make life a little easier when it comes to figuring out what’s for lunch?

Our Children Cook will be a cookbook created by our community to benefit the school. The basic goal will be to create a collection of recipes, beautiful photographs, and educational resources that are focused on delicious food that is healthy, good for our community, and environmentally responsible.

What do we need from you? We would like every family to contribute two of their favorite recipes by 11/15/07. The categories we have provided should help, but feel free to submit just about anything. The only thing that we would like you to keep in mind is that our focus will be on family-friendly and healthful recipes that produce “real food.” If the recipes utilize local products that benefit our community, that’s all the better.
